Jansan Sales Manager focused on Office Supply Channel
(MUST live in IL or WI)
Position Summary: This division focuses on institutional, industrial, and other B2B commercial channels of distribution. The Sales Manager will own the HQ and Branch relationships with national Office Supply Distributors and Wholesalers serving B2B commercial channels.
Specific responsibilities include:
? Engage Wholesaler and Distributor personnel across multiple functions; purchasing, sales, marketing, branch offices, and other customer-facing teams to drive sales and promotions.
? In collaboration with the Senior Director of Sales and Marketing, you will define and implement a distribution strategy navigating the supply network ultimately reaching the end user.
? Establish KPI’s and other metrics that deliver new product placements, core growth, and new market opportunities for the Consumer Brands.
? Collaborate with the Customer Marketing organization to develop sales, promotional, and ongoing communication materials for distributor engagement.
? Lead annual growth and strategy plans for national Office Supply distributors.
? Be the Voice of the Distributor and User to provide ongoing market intelligence and competitive response options to senior management.
? Participate in cross-functional teams to create and implement customer-specific integrated communications and promotions including; Digital, trade advertising, special events, trade shows, and ad hoc opportunities.
? Actively manage expenses related to travel, promotional funding, and customer support.
? Achieve and exceed growth targets with distribution while managing forecasting process.
? This is a dynamic work environment; numerous occasions will arise where support is required outside the job description.
Specific skills required:
? The ideal candidate will be an experienced sales professional with a proven record producing growth and identifying white space opportunities within the Office Supply channels of distribution.
? Direct experience with Office Depot/Max, Staples, and WB Mason preferred.
? Strategic planning and line review preparation skills with key distribution.
? CPG and Institutional selling and/or marketing experience with market leading brands preferred.
? Proficient using analytics to drive product placement and value-creation with large commercial B2B distributors.
? Category management functions and measurement
? Ability to build and leverage cross-functional relationships internally/externally to support customer’s go-to-market strategy.
? Possess working knowledge of distribution logistics to end-users, programming, and promotional tools to drive revenue growth.
? Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate and formally present across all levels of management and customers.
? Proven ability to drive results via creative opportunity identification and execution.
? Demonstrated track record of achievements.
? High sense of urgency and personal accountability.
? Competence in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Education/Experience Requirements:
? Minimum – BS or BA degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related field is required.
? 5+ years of broad sales management within institutional, industrial, commercial channels of distribution.
? Consistent & proven track record of making measurable contributions within prior organizations.
? Travel 50%
? Proactive, hands-on approach, required.
